DHOBLEY (Mareeg)—Forces loyal to Hizbul Islam forces led by Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed Islam known as Madobe seized Dhobley town from al Shabaab, witnesses said on Thursday.
At least six combatants from the warring sides have been killed in the fighting which started in the town on Thursday after forces loyal Sheikh Ahmed Madobe attacked the town from two sides.

Residents say al Shabaab fighters fled from the town and the town is completely under the control of Sheikh Ahmed Madobe’s forces currently.
Dhobley is about ten kilometers from the border between Kenya and Somalia and al Shabaab has been controlling it recently.
Al Shabaab captured the town three months ago from Hizbul Islam. The two sides have been fighting in Lower Jubba region in southern Somalia since October last year.
