Somalia: Al Shabaab leader replaced
NAIROBI (Mareeg)—The spiritual leader of al Shabaab militants, Ahmed Abdi Godane, who calls himself as Sheikh Mukhtar Abu Zubeyr has been replaced and foreigner took the post, reports reveal. Djibouti Foreign minister, Mahmoud Ali Youssof, was quoted as saying the leadership of al Shabaab was taken over secretly by Fazul Abdullah Mohammed an al Qaeda operative from Comoros wanted by CIA. Mr. Youssof said the increasing suicide attacks in Somalia shows that Fazul was fully involved in the orders of the group. Some Somali websites say Djibouti foreign minister, Mahmoud Ali Youssof, gave this information to al Sharq alawsat newspaper. A man who dressed as a women blew himself up at Shamo Hotel in Mogadishu on Thursday, where a graduation ceremony was taking palace. Somali people have strongly condemned the act. No group has claimed the responsibility, but the suspect fell on al Shabaab militants. Mareeg Online
